RIP LADY PEARL

Today’s Workout was in honor of our dear, departed feline friend, The Lady Pearl. She was feisty, stubborn, precocious, willful, smart,  and charming  (much like someone else we know and LOVE her human, Mr. Maynard Del Mar ). She gave more than she took. That unconditional love thing is something that is hard to come by. Mostly we find it it on our relationships with our pets. We aspire to be more like them in this way. It is not easy. Lady Pearl came to Maynard in a time when he needed a good and true friend. She never let him down.

This workout will be repeated at Crossfit Santa Fe and become one of our own personal benchmarks, a hero workout for sure. A hero workout for a different kind of hero, a true friend to one of our nearest and dearest.  We will also do our best to make sure that we share it with our Crossfit family of gyms. Tait wrote this workout in an effort to memorialize Lady Pearl. I think that everyone that did it today will certainly remember that workout and it’s namesake, The Lady Pearl. We already have ideas for enhanced Lady Pearl workouts, such as Lady Pearl goes running…Lady Pearl goes to the market…etc.

We thank you Lady Pearl for be a true and loyal companion to our dear friend Maynard. We will remember you always and we hope that this little(EPIC) workout will help you live on in the hearts of badass Crossfitters everywhere! RIP!
