TODAY’s WORKOUT:

100 KB SWINGS/HOLD CHIN OVER BAR

100 WALL BALLS/ HOLD BOTTOM OF A SQUAT

100 WALKING LUNGES w/ PLATE OVER HEAD(45lbs/25lbs)/ HOLD BAR OVERHEAD(45lbs/35lbs)

100 GHD SITUPS/ JUMP ROPE

This was a partner workout where both partners are working at the same time. For example, one partner did Kettlebell swings while the other partner held there chin over the bar in a static position. Workouts like this one require a lot of communication and team work. Inevitably, our strengths and weaknesses rear their heads. Ideally our partners are able to carry us when we are weak and rely on us when we are strong.

During the week, we tackle our own workouts. We find comfort and encouragement in the other athletes in our class, but our workout is our own. The only voice that we generally hear is that voice in our head telling us that we can’t and/or our coach telling us that we can.

At Undisputed Fitness, we consider ourselves a family, a tribe. We strive to build community and friendships amongst our athletes. Team or partner workouts are one way that we endeavor to create an environment where our athletes get to know each other even better. They push each other and support each other. They cheer each other on and ask more of them selves and their fellow athletes. They pick up the slack, when their partner is struggling. They empathize with and see themselves in their partner or team mate. They conjure strength and endurance where perhaps there would be none if they were solo. There is magic in the team workout!

COME WORKOUT WITH US ON SATURDAYS! WOULDN’T YOU LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOUR FELLOW CROSSFITTERS BETTER??

Ok I need to stop with the socks….I like taking a day off in the middle of the week just so I can be a part of a team work out….I love them!
